| Wine
bars blend into bistros or front restaurants. Most reflect a
long British tradition of French Claret and, of course, Port
from Oporto in Portugal is a fixture of upscale men’s
gatherings.
As a bonus many wine bars are associated with better
than usual restaurants.
Alberto & Grana, for example, defines tapas bars
where sherry, or sangria, lubricates the contents of a
flotilla of tiny plates filled with treats.
