Overview
This
spot is a great break from the British Museum where, it
must be said the tea is a lot better than the coffee.
The big front window lets you watch the street even when
it’s too damp to be outside and the international
customers offer a babble of languages under the bright
and benign paintings on the walls.
All are for sale and at a considerable savings
over gallery paintings of the same quality.
Coffee
is first class that smacks of Kenya and Columbia and the
cups here must hold half a liter.
Sandwiches and such are a good deal, and you can
even buy the cheerful pottery on which lunch is served.
Their cups, for example, make great gifts.
Pasteries in include Bath Buns and some Viennese
and the Italian goodies you’d expect when the
owner’s name is Amodio.
