Overview
 The Barbican is Europe's largest arts center, combining the best of English culture all under one roof. The Arts Centre includes the magnificent Barbican Hall seating 1989, Barbican Theatre and 3 air-conditioned cinemas. Two exhibition halls adjoin the centre offering 8,000m sq exhibition space. Barbican Hall is home to the London Symphony Orchestra and Barbican Theatre is the London home of the Royal Shakespeare Company. Besides these two magnificent companies, the Barbican is also host to other world-class symphonies and chamber orchestras.
 Backstage Tours are available Monday through Saturday and start two hours before performances. They last about an hour and are worth the £4.50 ($6). Call 020 7628 3351 at least 24 hours in advance for
reservations.
